Overview

Our Account Director is a seasoned Senior Account Manager who can lead the Client Services Department. The Account Director must have Agency experience in client-facing roles and is readily able to manage the team whilst liaising with clients on bigger picture situations. This role involves working on all client accounts and buildinging strong relationships with all clients as (retainer and project). The role also involves business development and working very closely with Management and other Department Heads to achieve the Agency-wide agenda. Our ideal candidate should have  great understanding of how to gain and maintain professional relationships with clients and also be a people-person with great communication skills. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leading and supporting the Client Services Department including Senior and Junior Account Managers
  • Setting goals and objectives for the Client Services team
  • Timely reports to Management on the status of the Agency in relation to Clients
  • Working with Finance and to determine the Company’s rates for services
  • Managing the overall growth, development and retention of client accounts 
  • Generate new accounts whilst promoting the expansion of business with existing clients
  • Developing and maintaining excellent knowledge and understanding of the Company, offerings, competitors and industry
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with current and potential clients
  • Ensuring the timely delivery of services and products to clients 
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement for the Account Management team and proposing new tools and processes
  • Attending meetings with potential and current clients
  • Planning, developing, and defending budget recommendations, work goals, measurements, and training requirements necessary to provide both quality and profitable service to client
  • Providing leadership/motivation and conveying the vision and values of the Agency to the Client Services team
  • Resolving conflict and disagreements between Client Teams and the Account Management team.
  • Timely reports to Management on the status of the Agency in relation to Clients
  • Managing the performance of the Account Management team

 

QUALIFICATION

  • An undergraduate degree in business administration, marketing, management or related fields.
  • 5 years of previous Account Manager experience + 2 years experience as Account Director 
  • Previous experience managing large account portfolios.
  • Ability to speak up and contribute ideas confidently to clients and amongst team members.
  • Experience drafting winning pitch decks.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, growing, inspiring and motivating teams.
  • Comfortable working under pressure, driven by competing client demands and other team needs.
  • Ability take on new challenges and accept rejection with a positive attitude.
  • Outstanding problem solving skills and people skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • The ability to work independently whilst still being able to contribute to the team.
  • The ability to work professionally in a high energy, fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to learn about new softwares and how to use them for work.
